Puppet-strings

What might have been a happy day is brought to tragedy by dark magic, by the kidnapping of a young man's beloved. And in the aftermath, that young man finds himself suddenly possessed by an unknown entity.

An entity that seems to be talking through his mouth about saving his beloved...

What are the motives of the thing controlling him? Can it be trusted? And will it ever relinquish him...?

One of my older stories (albeit with a bit of editing before posting here), Puppet-strings is... perhaps best described as "speculative fiction in a fantasy setting".

In format it is a novella, of about 21 500 words.
